Wily roving gunslinger Sartana arrives in a small town and tries to find a hidden fortune of half a million dollars in gold and two million dollars in counterfeit money. Naturally, a bunch of other treacherous folks who include conniving widow Senora Manassas, shrewd fellow gunslinger Grand Full, and the vicious and unhinged General Monk are also looking to get their greedy hands on said fortune.

This film is the fourth and final installment in the Sartana series featuring the gunfighter-gravedigger character created by Gianfranco Parolini in If You Meet Sartana Pray for Your Death.

Casting

Giuliano Carnimeo directed Gianni Garko as Sartana for the third time, having previously helmed him in the character in earlier entries of the series.

Reception

In a contemporary review for Monthly Film Bulletin, critic Verina Glaessner assessed an 89-minute English-dubbed version titled Gunman in Town, describing it as 'a thickly and incomprehensibly plotted Western' whose devices resurrected from the Dollar films made it 'reasonably watchable'.
