Review ★ 6

Again, I went to see a movie with too high expectations and was disappointed. The idea behind the story, the characters, the atmosphere and especially the acting (by both Mescal as well as Corio) are great. The storytelling falls short however, never completely gripping me, never pulling me into the story. @steveinadelaide explains it perfectly on IMDb: “The film’s slow pace and lack of character development make it hard to connect with the characters. We don’t get much insight into Sophie’s life before or after, making it difficult to feel emotionally invested in their relationship.” He says a lot more and it describes my thoughts and feelings about his movie perfectly. www.imdb.com/user/ur25255776/reviews
