Three's a Crowd

The series is a spin-off sequel to Three's Company and began airing on ABC just one week after that show's series finale.

It is loosely based on the British sitcom Robin's Nest, which was itself a spin-off of Man About the House, the source material for Three's Company.

In syndication, the show was sometimes retitled Three's Company, Too, and in these versions it used the original Three's Company theme song instead of its own.

When it aired on Antenna TV starting in 2011, the series used its original title Three's a Crowd along with its own theme song, 'Side by Side'.

On December 22, 2023, Visual Entertainment Inc. released a 40th anniversary box set of Three's Company that also included all episodes of both Three's a Crowd and The Ropers.
