The Red Room

Red Room has been adapted from the book titled 'Inside the Medal' published by Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu in 2004.

The series' screenplay was initially handled by Banu Kiremitçi Bozkurt, writer of the series My Daughter and Hekimoğlu, but she left in September 2021 and was replaced by Deniz Gürlek and Melek Seven.

While Cem Karcı directed the first season, Başak Soysal, director of the series Halka and Yeni Hayat, took over as director for the second season.

Filming took place mainly in Beykoz and Üsküdar, with the Beykoz Kundura Factory, which houses many television sets, being used for Doctor Lady's clinic.

For exterior shots, locations such as Ortaköy, Çamlıca Hill, Şile shores, Beyoğlu İstiklal Avenue, Nuru Ziya Street, and the back streets of Galatasaray High School were preferred.

The series' music was composed by Fırat Yükselir, who also composed the music for the series Home Where You're Born and Yeni Hayat during the same period; more than 50 themes and approximately 250 instrumental works were produced with artists from Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Canada, and England.

Cross-character transfers were made between Red Room, produced by OGM Pictures, and another series from the same company, Innocent Apartment; for example, the character Doctor Lady appeared as a guest for four episodes starting from episode 45 of Innocent Apartment and then from episodes 57 to 71.

The character Zeynep Göksu played by Demet Özdemir in the series Home Where You're Born came to consult with Doctor Lady in episode 13; also, the Red Room character Young Man Sadi (Erkan Petekkaya) appeared in episode 37 of the same series.

The first episode, which aired on September 4, 2020, became the most-watched program of the day in the AB group with a rating of 6.10 and a 19% viewing share.

It was announced in November 2021 that the series would be adapted to Spain with Cem Karcı directing it; in February 2022, it was announced that it would be adapted to Greece under the title 'Storgi' and Mariana Fpliotou would play the role of Doctor Lady.
