This drama is based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Park Kyung-ran, and it was announced in October 2020 that Jung Ji-so, Lee Jun-young, Park Ji-yeon, and Jung Yun-ho were cast in the lead roles.

This is the second collaboration between director Han Hyun-hee and writers Choi Sun-young and Kim Min-jung following their 2019 work Joseon Lovestory Mung Bean Jeon (original title: Joseon Detective Goo Hae-ryung).

Originally scheduled to air in late May, the broadcast start date was moved up to early May to fill the scheduling gap created when the drama That Year We (Dear.M) indefinitely postponed its broadcast.

The KBS 2TV Friday drama time slot was reopened with this work for the first time in approximately six years since Orange Marmalade in July 2015.

Denny Ahn and Kang Chan-hee reunited in this work nine years after the 2012 KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama Good Man Nowhere in the World.

As part of promotional efforts, KBS operated Instagram and Twitter accounts for the in-drama idol groups Shax, Sparkling, and T.P as if they were real groups, posting special content such as photos and interviews, which sometimes reflected events from recently aired episodes.

The actors playing T.P and Shax were scheduled to appear on the music show Music Bank dressed as their in-drama characters to promote 'Show Me' and 'Malo' respectively, and the three groups and the Larima character were planned to release individual mini albums composed of in-drama insert songs.

This drama recorded the lowest viewership rating in KBS2 drama history at 0.8% (tied with the 2020 drama Welcome), and among terrestrial dramas, it was the second lowest record after MBC's Dae Jang Geum Is Watching in 2018 (0.7%). In episode 6, it also recorded a historic low viewership rating of 0.4%.

Unlike the domestic viewership rating, it received a good response overseas, receiving a rating of 9.5% on the online streaming service Rakuten Viki and was counted as one of the platform's popular dramas during the two months of its broadcast.
