The Turkish drama series Kardeşlerim was created under the pen name NGM, with its script written by Gül Abus Semerci alongside Melis Veziroğlu Yılmaz and Mert Meriçli, and directed by Serkan Birinci.

The series was primarily filmed in various districts of Istanbul, especially in Fatih, and the fictional Ataman College location was shot at the Özel Kemerburgaz Bilim Okulu in Eyüpsultan.

A soundtrack album for the series, featuring 41 tracks composed by Alp Yenier and Güliz Ayla, was released on June 18, 2021.

The show was exported internationally under the title 'For My Family' and aired in more than 30 countries, including Spain, Chile, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Russia and Israel, and began broadcasting on the Middle Eastern platform OSN on August 15, 2021.

Kardeşlerim was nominated for 14 awards at the 47th Golden Butterfly Awards, winning 3, and also won an award at the 25th Golden Lens Awards distributed by the Magazine Journalists Association.

Despite being a huge hit in Turkey, the series received mixed to favorable reviews from critics and only a 5.7/10 rating on IMDb, with the writing in Season 4 criticized for the unexpected deaths of popular characters like Doruk and Asiye.

While the setting, cinematography and acting—particularly the performance of Yiğit Koçak—received unanimous praise, the storyline suffered from mixed to negative reviews as the series progressed.
