Link Click originated from a concept called Purification Rule (DEVIL GAME), which was first presented at Bilibili's 2018 National Creation Conference before evolving into the final series.

Beyond the donghua, Link Click has been adapted into an audio drama, a Chinese live-action drama, a stage musical, and a Japanese live-action series co-produced by Fuji TV, Bilibili, and Tokai TV, starring Daiki Sato and Kanata Hongo.
