The British series Professor T. is an adaptation of the Belgian television series of the same name.

Although Jesus College, Cambridge features prominently in the show, the series was mainly filmed in Belgium.

Ben Miller, who plays the lead role of Professor Jasper Tempest, has stated in an interview that his character is also autistic, in addition to having OCD.

Critics gave mixed reviews: Carol Midgley of The Times awarded it two stars out of five, praising Ben Miller's performance but criticizing the plot and tonal shifts, while Ed Cumming of The Independent also praised Miller, Emma Naomi and Frances de la Tour but felt the show 'isn't quite there yet'.

Anita Singh of The Daily Telegraph criticized the use of rape as a plot device in the show's first episode, questioning why it was used as 'cheap entertainment'.

The show faced strong criticism from national OCD organisations, including OCD-UK, whose Chief Executive argued that the series failed to accurately portray OCD and instead used the disorder to create 'quirkiness' about the main character without referencing genuine obsessions.
