The main cast, including Amaia Salamanca, Amaia Aberasturi, Belinda, Lola Rodríguez, Sergio Momo, Begoña Vargas, Ana Mena and Berta Vázquez, was confirmed in February, ahead of filming.

Filming began on 22 February 2021 and took place in several Spanish locations, including Teruel, Barcelona, Alicante and the island of Lanzarote, before moving to San Sebastián in April.

Director Daniel Benmayor announced the end of filming in late May 2021.

The series premiere was slightly delayed to make room for the releases of Los herederos de la tierra and the fifth season of Élite, before finally being set for 6 May 2022.

For its second season, the show brought in Carlos Torres and Nona Sobo as new cast members, while direction passed to Denis Rovira and Juanma Pachón.

The series was produced by Brutal Media and created by Joaquín Górriz and Guillermo López.

Despite being renewed for a second season shortly after its debut, Netflix cancelled Welcome to Eden on 7 July 2023 after only two seasons.

Actress Belinda was nominated for Best Actress of the Year at the 2023 Socialiteen Awards for her role, and won the same award in 2024.
