Rebecca

Rebecca is a French adaptation of the British series Marcella, created by Hans Rosenfeldt for ITV and originally shown in France on Netflix; the adaptation project was announced in February 2020.

Anne Marivin was cast in the title role in June 2020, with Benjamin Biolay playing her husband, supported by Samir Guesmi, Valérie Karsenti, Clotilde Courau, Patrick Timsit and Baptiste Lecaplain.

Filming began on 21 July 2020 in the Paris region, then moved to Normandy in late November 2020 to shoot village and cliff scenes in Senneville-sur-Fécamp.

The score was composed by Jean-Pierre Taïeb, who previously worked with director Didier Le Pêcheur on the 2020 series Infidèle; the soundtrack was released by Cristal Records on 18 November 2021.

Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of the original British series Marcella, is credited as a producer on the French adaptation Rebecca.

The series premiered first on the streaming platform Salto on 28 October 2021 before airing on television on TF1 from 18 November to 9 December 2021.
