Origins

The Box is an English-language supernatural psychological thriller series created and written by Adi Hasak for the Nordic Entertainment Group.

Origins

The series was first announced at the 2020 MIPCOM market, with production initially planned to begin in Sweden in February 2021.

Filming

Production actually started in March 2021 and was carried out by Nice Drama, an NENT Studios company (now part of Viaplay Studios), together with Adi TV Studios.

Reception

The show premiered on Viaplay on 28 November 2021 in Poland, the Baltic states and the Nordic countries, ahead of a planned rollout in the Netherlands and the UK in 2022, while MGM holds global distribution rights for all other territories.
