The miniseries is based on the novel Fidelity by Marco Missiroli.

Filming of the series began in Milan in January 2021.

The story is set between Milan and Rimini, the latter being the protagonist Carlo's hometown.

The series consists of 6 episodes, all published simultaneously on Netflix on February 14, 2022, Valentine's Day.

The first trailer of the series was released on December 21, 2021.

The soundtrack includes the unreleased track 'Verosimile', performed by singer Arisa.

In the international version the series is distributed with the title Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire, also known as Fidelity, while in Italy it retains the original title Fedeltà.

Each episode of the series was written by different screenwriters who alternated, including Alessandro Fabbri, Elisa Amoruso and Laura Colella, while the direction is divided between Andrea Molaioli and Stefano Cipani.
