Baywatch Nights

Baywatch Nights is a spin-off of Baywatch, created by Douglas Schwartz, David Hasselhoff, and Gregory J. Bonann, and originally aired in syndication from 1995 to 1997.

The show's original premise centered on Sgt. Garner Ellerbee quitting the police force to open a detective agency, with Mitch Buchannon joining to support him.

Facing declining ratings that never matched the original Baywatch series, producers revamped the show for its second season into a science-fiction format inspired by the success of The X-Files.

Gregory Alan Williams left the series after the first season and was replaced by Dorian Gregory, who played a new paranormal expert character named Diamont Teague.

Midway through the first season, Eddie Cibrian and Donna D'Errico joined the cast as new characters Griff Walker and Donna Marco.

The character Donna Marco, played by Donna D'Errico, was later carried over into the original Baywatch series after Baywatch Nights ended.

Singer Lou Rawls, who appeared in the first season as nightclub owner Lou Raymond, performed the show's theme song 'After the Sun Goes Down' alongside David Hasselhoff.

Several actors from the original Baywatch made guest appearances on Baywatch Nights, including Billy Warlock, Yasmine Bleeth, Alexandra Paul, and Michael Newman.
