Talks of a Frasier revival began as early as 2016 but were initially denied by Kelsey Grammer; he later confirmed in 2018-2019 interviews that a reboot was being considered.

Filming for season 1 wrapped on May 2, 2023, just one day after the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike began, meaning the writers were unable to be present on set for the final night of filming.
