Reception

Critic David Tizzard from The Korea Times stated that the series attempted to emulate works such as The Shining and Parasite, but ended up sounding like 'Disney-level morality dressed in a miniskirt trying to be sexy for Netflix', with a Tarantino-style soundtrack without the screenwriter's dialogue, humor or tension; he also noted similarities between the plot and the real-life case of Koh Yuh-jeong in South Korea.
