The series is based on a format created by Sreda and is a remake of the 2015 Russian television series Silver Spoon.

The screenplay was written by Kim Ba-da, who also wrote the Netflix series My Name.

The series was directed by Kim Jae-hong, who previously co-directed the SBS Friday-Saturday dramas Through the Darkness and Revenant.

A second season of the series has been confirmed.

Besides airing on SBS TV, the show is available for streaming on Wavve in South Korea and on Disney+ in selected regions.

The show's broadcast was preempted twice in February 2024 to make way for Lunar New Year special films, and the final two episodes (15 and 16) were extended to 70 minutes.

The series featured numerous special guest appearances from celebrities outside of acting, including chef Baek Jong-won, golfer Pak Se-ri, baseball player Yoo Hee-kwan, mixed martial artist Jung Chan-sung, and footballer Cho Gue-sung, all appearing in episode 1.

At the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, the series won Best New Actor for both Kang Sang-jun and Kim Shin-bi, and Ahn Bo-hyun received the top actor award in the miniseries genre/action category.
