Chilham Castle in Kent was used as Winfield Hall, the grand estate of Lord Winfield, in the series 1 episode 'Cry God for Harry', with nearby Chilham Square also appearing briefly.

The London Weekend Television studio building and reception area itself was used as the filming location for the fictional company Consolidated Westmore in the series 2 episode 'Silver Dollar'.

Extensive filming took place at the disused East Greenwich Gas Works site, a common filming location for films and TV shows of the era, which today is the site of The O2 arena.

Although the series was syndicated in the United States starting autumn 1985 and marketed as similar to a remake of The Avengers, only the first 20 hours aired before it was discontinued by mid-January 1986, meaning the 10 episodes of series 3 never aired in the US.

The show drew around 20 million viewers in the UK at its peak and was sold internationally to countries including Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary and Pakistan.
