Uee returned to KBS2 television drama with this series four years after My Only One, a production with which she had achieved great success with episodes that reached nearly 50% viewership.

Go Joo-won had been away from television for four years before this series, since his appearance in Love in Sadness and Haechi in 2019.

The script reading took place at the KBS facilities in Yeouido, Seoul, in May, months before the series premiere.

On September 12, 2023, the production was presented at a press conference held at the Ramada Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Actor Noh Yeong-guk, who played the president of the Taesan Group, died of a heart attack on September 18, 2023, shortly after the series premiere; at the end of episode 3, a text and an image of him were included in his memory.

Noh Yeong-guk had completed filming of the first ten episodes before his death, and the production company decided to air those episodes unchanged and without reshooting his part, hiring a replacement for the rest of the series.

The series started with a 16.5% national viewership rating, a figure lower than that of its predecessor in the same time slot, The Real Has Come!, which had begun with 17.7% and reached 23.9%.

Critics pointed out that the viewership decline of this type of weekend dramas is due in part to the worn-out device of birth secrets as a plot driver and the rigid programming of 50 episodes, a format that no longer fits current viewer demands.
