The Couple Next Door is a British adaptation of the Dutch series Nieuwe Buren, written by David Allison and developed by Eagle Eye Drama for Channel 4 and Starz.

Principal photography for the first series began in March 2023 and took place across Leeds, England, as well as Belgium and the Netherlands, with filming in Baildon in April 2023.

The series holds a 38% 'Rotten' score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 13 critic reviews, with reviewers split between calling it 'bingeable' despite being 'nonsensical' and criticising it as 'cliched'.
