Han Hyo-joo was initially cast as the female lead in 2023, but was later replaced when Lee Sung-kyung was considered for the role, alongside Seo In-guk who was considered for the male lead at the time.

The male lead role of Sunwoo Chan was originally offered to Seo In-guk before Chae Jong-hyeop reportedly received the offer in May 2025.

The official casting of Lee Sung-kyung and Chae Jong-hyeop as the leads was confirmed in September 2025, followed the next month by the casting of Lee Mi-sook, Kang Seok-woo, Han Ji-hyun, Oh Ye-ju, and Ki Hyun-woo.

On November 13, 2025, production company Pan Entertainment announced it had signed a production and supply agreement with MBC worth ₩15.2 billion for the series.

Principal photography for the series began in October 2025.

Hyundai Motor confirmed vehicle sponsorship for the drama, and since filming started in the latter half of 2025, the Palisade LX3 is very likely to make its first media appearance in this series, as it did not appear in Hyundai-sponsored dramas in 2025.

The series aired on MBC TV every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 (KST) from February 20 to April 3, 2026, and was also made available for streaming on Disney+.

The episode scheduled for March 7, 2026 was not broadcast due to the network airing coverage of the 2026 World Baseball Classic instead.
