Death Inc.

On April 17, 2023, brothers Alberto and Laura Caballero announced the development of the series with their production company Contubernio Films for Movistar Plus+, conceived as a black comedy set in a funeral home that explores family, inheritance, and the absurdities of life and death.

Movistar Plus+ renewed the series for a second season on January 25, 2024, even before the first season premiered.

In July 2025 Netflix acquired the global distribution rights to the series, which was internationally titled 'Death Inc.'; the first two seasons re-premiered on the platform on July 31, 2025, and the third season arrived exclusively on August 21, 2025, marking the global debut of the fiction.

The fourth and final season of the series is scheduled to premiere on August 7, 2026.

The series won the Best Ensemble Cast Award at the first edition of the InStyle Awards for Series in 2024 and was nominated for the Feroz Award for Best Comedy Series 2025.

Several Spanish critics compared Laura Caballero's directing style, marked by the use of zooms and handheld camera at the expense of stability, with that of the American series The Office.

Critic Mikel Zorilla from Espinof noted that the first season confirms that the Caballero brothers shine more with shorter duration formats, awarding it a score of 7 out of 10.
