Serial was created through a collaboration between director Oh Chung-hwan, known for 'Hotel del Luna' (2019) and 'Castaway Diva' (2023), and screenwriter Lee Na-eun, author of 'Our Beloved Summer' (2021–2022). The production was overseen by Studio N.

Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young were cast in 2023 and reportedly gave positive assessments of the script before accepting their roles.

Choi Woo-shik's involvement in the project marked a reunion with screenwriter Lee Na-eun following their earlier collaborative works.

Lee Jun-young, Jeon So-nee and Kim Jae-wook joined the cast a year later, and Choi, Park, Lee and Jeon were officially confirmed as the main cast in February 2024.

On May 29, 2024, it was announced that Cha Woo-min would play the character Woo Jeong-hu.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series received a 100% fresh rating from 6 critics, with an average score of 7.9/10.

Carmen Chin from NME rated the series 3 out of 5 stars, while Pierce Conran from South China Morning Post gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
