Ratings fluctuated across seasons: season one averaged just over a million weekly viewers, season two rose to 1.56 million (a jump of over 50%), and season three dropped back to first-year numbers.

Origins

The show was produced by Lionsgate Television, Piller², and The Segan Company, the latter two of which later merged into Piller/Segan, the company that went on to produce the series Greek.

Music

The theme song, 'Morning Light', was performed by the artist Truman.

Filming

Actor Dennis Weaver, who played patriarch Henry Ritter, passed away in 2006; his character was written out of the show and later revealed to have died, mirroring the actor's real-life passing.
