Teacup was created by Ian McCulloch and is inspired by the novella Stinger by Robert R. McCammon, adapted into a contemporary horror series.

Origins

The series received a straight-to-series order from Peacock in December 2022, with James Wan serving as executive producer and E. L. Katz announced as director of the opening episode.

Casting

Yvonne Strahovski was cast as lead character Maggie Chenoweth in February 2024, with Scott Speedman joining that same month to star opposite her.

The first episode of the series was previewed at Fantastic Fest on September 22, 2024, ahead of its full premiere.
