Pulse was the first Netflix original English-language medical drama series, premiering on April 3, 2025.

The series was created by Zoe Robyn, who also served as showrunner and executive producer alongside Carlton Cuse.

Justina Machado was the first recurring cast member announced for the series.

Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell were announced as the leads in March 2024, followed later that month by Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Daniela Nieves, Chelsea Muirhead, and Jessy Yates.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Pulse holds a 48% approval rating based on 27 critics, while Metacritic gave it a score of 48 out of 100 based on 12 critics, both indicating mixed reviews.

A Variety review praised the acting but criticized the poorly formatted narrative and what it called an appalling depiction of sexual harassment, while Time criticized the series' underdeveloped #MeToo-related storyline.

During its premiere week (March 31–April 6, 2025), Pulse ranked seventh on Netflix in the United States according to Showlabs data.

Netflix canceled Pulse after just one season on July 2, 2025.
