The miniseries is based on Agatha Christie's 1929 novel The Seven Dials Mystery, adapted by Chris Chibnall and directed by Chris Sweeney.

Origins

The project served as the debut production for Orchid Pictures, and was announced by Netflix in April 2024 under the title The Seven Dials Mystery before being retitled Agatha Christie's Seven Dials in November 2025.

Casting

Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman were announced as the lead actors in June 2024, with Edward Bluemel joining the cast the following month.

Filming took place in the middle of 2024 in Bristol and Bath, England, as well as in Ronda, Spain.
