Snuff Box

Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher met while working together on the BBC Three comedy The Mighty Boosh, which led to their later collaboration on Snuff Box.

Snuff Box was originally titled Berry & Fulcher's Comedy Bronze before being renamed.

According to Berry, Snuff Box was commissioned because BBC Three owed a favour to Channel X Productions after the network refused to air the company's animated series Popetown due to international controversy.

BBC Three was also looking for a new sketch show to replace Little Britain, which had moved to BBC One for its final series, contributing to Snuff Box getting greenlit.

Matt Berry composed all the music for the show, including the themes and incidental music, singing most of the vocal parts and playing most of the instruments himself.

Berry recorded the Snuff Box theme tune in his own flat.

English composer Tony Hatch advised Matt Berry on the brass sections of the show's music.

The film Dredd featured the Snuff Box theme song in a few of its scenes.
