Dizi, Kaoru Tada's Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss has been adapted, and it deals with the long-term effect of a joking kiss experienced during youth on the process of two people discovering their identities.

The Taiwanese version adapted from the same manga is titled It Started With a Kiss, and its sequel series was filmed as They Kiss Again.
