Reception

The show received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2012, for Ashley Judd's Outstanding Lead Actress performance and for its Outstanding Music Composition.

Casting

Ashley Judd not only starred as the lead but also served as a producer on the series, alongside producer Gina Matthews.

References

A recurring in-universe detail has Keith Carradine's character, a bestselling espionage novelist, featuring an endorsement from Rick Castle on one of his book covers, a nod to the ABC series Castle.

Filming

The DVD release of the complete first season included bonus features such as deleted scenes, bloopers, and a behind-the-scenes 'Production Journal: Istanbul' segment documenting filming in that location.

The DVD extras also included a piece called 'Genesis Piece,' in which Ashley Judd and Gina Matthews discussed the making of the series with creator Greg Poirier.
