Still Standing

The character Perry, Linda's husband, speaks with a British accent despite being from Florida; his explanation on the show was that he worked a summer at Epcot and the accent just sort of "stuck."

Linda is portrayed in early episodes as a "crazy cat lady" with a cat named Nathaniel Pawthorne, until the cat dies in season 3, after which she meets and eventually marries Perry.

The role of Judy and Linda's mother, Helen Michaels, was recast between seasons, played by Janet Carroll in seasons 1 and 2 and by Swoosie Kurtz in seasons 3 and 4.

Every episode title begins with the word "Still", with the sole exception of the pilot episode.

A 2002 Entertainment Weekly review gave the series a "D" grade, and Variety's Michael Speier criticized it as "yet another sitcom about dumb men and the women who love them," though SFGate's Tim Goodman gave a more favorable review comparing it to "King of Queens" and "Becker."

On Rotten Tomatoes, only 44% of 9 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 3.1/10.

After ending its original CBS run in 2006, the show entered broadcast syndication until 2009 and also aired reruns on Lifetime (2006–2009) and ABC Family (2010–2014).
