Origins

The series is the sixth installment in the 'Once Upon a Time...' educational animation franchise created and directed by Albert Barillé for the French studio Procidis.

Origins

Despite being a French production, the series was co-produced with broadcasters from several countries, including TVE (Spain), WDR, SWR and SFB (Germany), Mediaset (Italy), RTSR and RTSI (Switzerland), and RTBF (Belgium), each airing the show dubbed into their own language.

Trivia

As with previous entries in the franchise, the character designs were created by Jean Barbaud.

Reception

The series premiered in France on Canal+ on 10 December 1996 as part of the programming block 'Le Dessin animé', before later airing on France 3 starting 7 October 1997.

The final episode of the series is a retrospective compiling elements from all the different 'Once Upon a Time...' series.

Casting

Roger Carel, known for voicing Maestro throughout the franchise, reprises the role in this installment, alongside other recurring voice actors like Daniel Beretta and Patrick Préjean.
