Jake 2.0

Jake 2.0 was canceled by UPN on January 14, 2004 due to low ratings, leaving four completed episodes unaired in the United States.

The four episodes that never aired in the US were eventually broadcast in the United Kingdom on Sky One, and the series later ran in syndication on HDNet and the Sci Fi Channel.

The series was filmed on location in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada.

Three additional episodes titled 'The Fix,' 'Libra,' and 'Nano-A-Nano' were planned to conclude the series' final story arc before it was canceled.

Writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach revealed that 'The Fix,' the first of the three unproduced final episodes, had already been scripted at the time of cancellation, while the other two were only outlined; the plot outline surfaced in a fansite interview.

The show was created by Silvio Horta, who later went on to create Ugly Betty.

Jake 2.0 was not released on DVD until many years after its cancellation, when Visual Entertainment Inc. issued it under license from CBS on May 3, 2019.
