Duane Martin was originally cast as the father figure Charlie Phillips in November 2012, but he was later replaced by Michael Boatman before the series aired.

Reception

The series' debut on September 29, 2013 was the highest-rated premiere in the history of both the Nick at Nite and NickMom blocks, airing simultaneously on both at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
