Gangland Undercover

The series was created by executive producer Stephen Kemp and co-writer Noel Baker, inspired by the real story of Charles Falco, a former ATF confidential informant who infiltrated an outlaw motorcycle club.

The show is based on the memoir 'Vagos, Mongols, and Outlaws: My Infiltration of America's Deadliest Biker Gangs,' written by Charles Falco with Kerrie Droban.

Each episode opens with a disclaimer stating the story is based on Charles Falco's account of events between 2003 and 2006, with names, locations and key details changed to protect the identities of those involved.

The show's narrator, who introduces each episode, is voiced by the real Charles Falco with his voice disguised.

History US cancelled Gangland Undercover just eight episodes into Season 2, and after the show's third episode aired it was pulled from the schedule.

Season 2's broadcast was fragmented across networks: its first episode aired on A&E in the U.S. on December 8, 2016, before it later returned to History Channel on March 2, 2017, while Canada had already premiered the full season on September 26, 2016.

In a 2025 interview on the Vano VHS YouTube channel, Charles Falco and actor Damon Runyan discussed ideas for a potential third season, which would take place about a decade after Season 2 and expand beyond biker gangs to other criminal organizations Falco infiltrated.

Runyan envisioned a third season with an older, darker, more morally ambiguous Falco and a Tarantino-style violent climax; some characters like Darko would return, but 'The Devil' would not since the actor who played him had died since the show aired.
