Warriors

The serial's title is an ironic reference to the FV510 Warrior, the armoured vehicle used by the British forces depicted in the story.

When Warriors aired in the United States, it was re-titled Peacekeepers.

The drama stars Matthew Macfadyen, Damian Lewis and Ioan Gruffudd, and was written by Leigh Jackson, produced by Nigel Stafford-Clark and directed by Peter Kosminsky.

The story depicts British peacekeepers serving with UNPROFOR in Vitez, Bosnia, during the Lašva Valley ethnic cleansing in 1993.

The score for the serial was composed by Debbie Wiseman, who later won a Royal Television Society Craft & Design Award for Best Music – Original Score for her work.

The serial won the British Academy Television Award for Best Drama Serial and Best Sound, and was also honoured with a Golden Nymph for Best Mini-Series at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival.

The production received further recognition at the Royal Television Society Craft & Design Awards, winning for Best Costume Design (James Keast) and Best Sound, with additional nominations for Best Make Up Design and Best Production Design.
