Origins

The series is based on the novel 'Frukta inte' by Norwegian author and lawyer Anne Holt, and adapted for Swedish television by Emmy Award-winning writers Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe.

Origins

Modus was produced by Miso Film under the leadership of Sandra Harms and was directed by Lisa Siwe and Mani Maserrat.

Reception

After its Swedish premiere on TV4 in 2015, the series was sold internationally to several countries, including Germany (ZDF), France, Spain, the United Kingdom (BBC) and Finland (MTV3).

Reception

In the United States, both seasons originally aired on PBS and were later made temporarily available for streaming through the PBS Passport program.

Filming

The second season, filmed in 2017, was written bilingually in both Swedish and English to accommodate the international storyline involving a visiting American president.

Casting

For its second season, the show brought in American actors Kim Cattrall and Greg Wise as new cast members, playing US President Helen Tyler and FBI agent Warren Shifford respectively.
