Two teenage boys secretly meet up in a cabin, bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen -- and when you witness a horrible event, it changes everything.

Eyewitness is an American adaptation of a 2014 Norwegian miniseries of the same name, reworking the story into a crime thriller drama for USA Network.

The majority of filming took place in Parry Sound, Ontario, with additional shooting in McKellar, Rosseau, Seguin, Magnetawan, and Bracebridge.

USA Network canceled the series on March 1, 2017 because it failed to retain as much of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit lead-in audience as the network had hoped.

The series received positive to mixed reviews, holding an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 12 critics and a weighted average score of 58 out of 100 on Metacritic based on 11 critics.

In Nielsen's Live+Same Day ratings, the series drew a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 639,000 total viewers.
