Several reviews suggested the show was inspired by Scientology and by the real-life relationship between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, given its premise of a self-help organization arranging a Hollywood star's romance.

After premiering on E! on March 5, 2017 and being renewed for a 10-episode second season, the series was ultimately canceled on May 29, 2018 after just two seasons.
