Origins

This two-part television film is the third in a series of Terry Pratchett Discworld adaptations produced by The Mob, following Hogfather and The Colour of Magic.

Origins

The adaptation was announced as part of an investment of at least £10 million into television projects, which also included Chris Ryan's Strike Back and Skellig by David Almond.

Filming

Filming for Going Postal began in May 2009 in Budapest.

Filming

Following a tradition established with The Mob's previous Discworld adaptations, several fans of the books were invited to appear as extras in the production.

Casting

Author Terry Pratchett himself made a cameo appearance in the production, playing a postman who delivers a letter to Vetinari's palace near the end of the story.

Reception

Both episodes of the miniseries were released together on a single DVD in the United States on 11 September 2011.
