Filming took place every day of the week, including weekends, at the Herdade da Barroca D'Alva estate, and wrapped on 3 June 2011.

The presenter character played by Miguel Guilherme is nicknamed 'Júlia' or 'Teresa' by the contestants, a nod to real Portuguese reality show hosts Júlia Pinheiro and Teresa Guilherme.

The series primarily satirizes Big Brother and TVI's Secret Story - Casa dos Segredos, and partly SIC's Peso Pesado, referenced through the inclusion of Gabriela Fonseca playing an overweight contestant.

Following the show's success on social media, rumors circulated that Bruno Nogueira and production company Até ao Fim do Mundo were negotiating to sell the format to foreign broadcasters, especially in Spain and Brazil, but this was never confirmed.

Bruno Nogueira confirmed a second season would not happen, stating that if you feel you can't do better than what was already done, it's better to let it survive and remain in memory rather than ruin it.
