The Hunt

The series is an adaptation of the novel 'Monteperdido' by Agustín Martínez, who also participated as creator alongside Luis Moya.

Filming took place in the Aragonese Pyrenees, in locations such as Benasque, Cerler, Sesué, Sahún, Llanos del Hospital ski resort, the Remuñe ravine and the Ésera river, and concluded in December 2018.

The series averaged a 14.0% audience share, becoming one of the most successful series on Spanish open television in 2019.

The original plan was to continue the franchise as a sort of anthology, with a new installment centered on a case and characters completely different if the series was successful.

Despite the initial anthology plan, the sequel 'La caza. Tramuntana' ended up recovering the characters of Sara Campos (Megan Montaner) and Víctor Gamero (Alain Hernández), connecting both fictions even though it was set in a new location.

In 2023, a French remake titled 'Rivière-Perdue' was put into development, also set in the Pyrenees.
