Fast & Furious Spy Racers is an animated series based on the Fast & Furious film franchise created by Gary Scott Thompson, with Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz and Chris Morgan among its executive producers.

Netflix officially gave the production a series order on April 23, 2018, with DreamWorks Animation as one of the production companies involved.

The series was one of the first DreamWorks Animation shows based on Universal Pictures film properties following DreamWorks Animation's acquisition by NBCUniversal.

Showrunners Tim Hedrick and Bret Haaland previously worked together on other animated series such as The Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and All Hail King Julien.

Voicing Frostee Benson marked Luke Youngblood's first voice acting role.

The full voice cast was announced on November 18, 2019, shortly before the series premiere.

The series held an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 7 reviews with an average score of 7.3/10.

A world premiere red carpet event for the series was held at the Universal Cinema in Los Angeles on December 7, 2019.

In 2021, a video game spin-off titled Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Rise of SH1FT3R was released by 3D Clouds and Outright Games, featuring an original story separate from the show and 17 tracks set in locations from the series like Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, the Sahara Desert and the South Pacific; a DLC pack called 'Arctic Challenge' followed in 2022, adding Alaska-set tracks and new vehicles and characters.
