Quite liked the premise of this movie that could’ve been great but somehow it fell flat for me. There are some scenes that just make you roll your eyes, taking you out of the (sphere of the) movie. The acting overall is not bad but here and there (again, eye-rollingly) bad. And the MC is just plain annoying and not someone I was rooting for. 0

Magical and heartwarming story, with just the right amount of humor, about how each and everyone of us is unique and special in our own way, and accepting/seeing yourself that way. Accompanied by great songs that fit the story and its characters perfectly. And beautiful, colorful images that give the finishing touch to this captivating movie. Indeed, there’s no greater gift than being able to bring people together! 0

I haven’t watched the first 3 movies so have nothing to compare it with (except horror movies in general). It’s no top movie as some details require a great amount of suspension of disbelief (for example how long a dead body loses blood) and some of the acting and dialogue is a bit cheesy. But it builds up tension nicely and except for the end, I quite liked it, it kept me engaged throughout the whole movie. Definitely enjoyed myself. 0

Yup… I have no problem with the pacing or the discussion whether this is a horror or not. The acting was good. But I do have a couple of points that bring my enjoyment and therefore my rating down. I miss some background for once, never quite understood what was going on (a natural disease?, something paranormal?). Though I can understand one not reasoning logically under such stress, some scenes just didn’t make sense to me. And I still don’t know what comes at night (and if it ONLY comes at night)…. 0

I find this movie a bit hard to rate, probably 7.5/10. Cause it does nothing new as a found footage horror. However, the building up of tension is very well done indeed! Showing not too much but enough to be scary. Well enough acted as well. So I’m going to give it the benefit of the doubt and round my rating up to 4/5. 0

It’s so interesting how our experience of movies change over time, of course influenced by the more modern day movies that we watch. Though I must be honest and say that I don’t quite remember how scary this movie was to me 30-40 years ago, I know this time around I laughed quite a lot. Very fun to watch together with a group of movie buddies. 0

Though I do like musicals this movie had way too much singing for my liking. The last half hour was better: normal dialogue with a song where a song was fit. Loved the premise of different fairy tales meeting each other. 0
