This absolutely didn’t work for me. Couldn’t care about the MC, what happened, or what she was going through. The pace was terribly slow for the first 3/4 of the movie. And the end was a total let down. The full 4/10 stars go to Aksel and Anders’ acting. 0

A movie that honors its title but proved to be a pleasant surprise. Though not a regular Christmas movie, and definitely not for our youngest watchers this was a funny, gory action packed dark comedy with some good acting, fitting its genre. 0

I watch an edition of Scrooge/A Christmas Carol each year. I believe this was the first one I ever watched, many many years ago. I always thought this was my favorite one. But now I feel I need to rewatch every single edition before making up my mind lol I do love how the musical aspect never interrupts the movie/story but adds to it. The flamboyant spending of money may be a little less true to the Christmas spirit (though in Scrooge’s case it makes sense). My favorite parts are the scene where Scrooge makes a promise to search for the best doctors for Tiny Tim and the one where he goes to celebrate Christmas with his (remaining) family. 0

I’ve been watching some ….strange… Christmas movies. This one was better than the previous 2 I watched (Mother Krampus 2, Silent Night Deadly Night 2). Watching it with movie buddies definitely made it more fun too. But yeah…strange…lol 0

Quite liked the premise of this movie that could’ve been great but somehow it fell flat for me. There are some scenes that just make you roll your eyes, taking you out of the (sphere of the) movie. The acting overall is not bad but here and there (again, eye-rollingly) bad. And the MC is just plain annoying and not someone I was rooting for. 0

I haven’t watched the first 3 movies so have nothing to compare it with (except horror movies in general). It’s no top movie as some details require a great amount of suspension of disbelief (for example how long a dead body loses blood) and some of the acting and dialogue is a bit cheesy. But it builds up tension nicely and except for the end, I quite liked it, it kept me engaged throughout the whole movie. Definitely enjoyed myself. 0

Yup… I have no problem with the pacing or the discussion whether this is a horror or not. The acting was good. But I do have a couple of points that bring my enjoyment and therefore my rating down. I miss some background for once, never quite understood what was going on (a natural disease?, something paranormal?). Though I can understand one not reasoning logically under such stress, some scenes just didn’t make sense to me. And I still don’t know what comes at night (and if it ONLY comes at night)…. 0

If you want Halloween vibes, this is the perfect movie to watch in October. Loved how the stories interconnected, the atmosphere was perfect, some unexpected turns and some humor kept me engaged. Just didn’t like the hand, but other than that I had a great time! 0

I find this movie a bit hard to rate, probably 7.5/10. Cause it does nothing new as a found footage horror. However, the building up of tension is very well done indeed! Showing not too much but enough to be scary. Well enough acted as well. So I’m going to give it the benefit of the doubt and round my rating up to 4/5. 0
