Power Rangers HyperForce is set in the year 3016 at Time Force Academy. A team of Time Force Ranger cadets must band together to defeat an ancient evil who is set on unraveling the very fabric of the universe. Under the leadership of their mentor, Jen Scotts, and with the show’s Game Master, Malika Lim, the newly minted Rangers will cross both time and space to complete their mission while running into many familiar eras (and faces) along the way. The stakes have never been higher as the players learn what it means to be a Ranger in a live, tabletop RPG environment where anything can happen.

La serie è ambientata nell'anno 3016 presso la Time Force Academy, con un sistema di regole (Hyperforce RPG system) creato appositamente per lo show, di cui però non è mai stato pubblicato un regolamento completo.

Diversi Power Rangers di stagioni precedenti compaiono come guest star, tra cui Erin Cahill, nota per Power Rangers Time Force.

Peter Sudarso, che interpreta il Ranger Rosso di Hyperforce, aveva già vestito i panni di Preston Tien, il Ranger Blu di Power Rangers Ninja Steel.

Paul Schrier, interprete del Ranger Giallo, era in precedenza noto per il ruolo di Farkas "Bulk" Bulkmeier fin dai tempi di Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Nel 2018 i Rangers di Hyperforce sono apparsi nel crossover a fumetti "Shattered Grid" di Boom! Studios, pubblicato in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25-30 per celebrare il 25° anniversario della serie televisiva originale.
