Akcja w Eureka Seven dzieje się wokół Rentona Thurstona, czternastoletniego syna Adroca Thurstona, wojskowego badacza który umarł ratując świat. Nadarza się okazja do tego, kiedy mech, zwany Nirvash typeZERO, oraz Eureka, członek Gekkostate, lądują na domu, w którym Renton mieszkał ze swoim dziadkiem.
