Morte no Nilo

A dramatic mystery or maybe even better to classify it as a mysterious drama/romance. I’m going to be honest: if I hadn’t read any Agatha Christie’s Poirot and if I hadn’t watched any episode with David Suchet portraying Poirot, I might’ve liked this movie (a little bit) better. Although I do agree with the reviewers who have stated that the setting feels “out of time”; it’s all too modern.  But above all, Poirot as well as Bouc feel totally, completely, utterly out of character. And wow, that hurt, really bad…. And then there’s Hammer whose acting I’ve never liked; nothing feels natural, it all feels fake, you just see him acting instead of living it. So yeah, trying to forget this is a Hercule Poirot, I’ll be generous and give it 5/10.
