A Gift to Remember Seven oN ★ 9
Christmas is over but after such a shitty year I wasn’t ready for it to be over. So I watched this movie and it was perfect: a dog, books, a (very) handsome guy, a sweet girl, all likeable characters, the spread of Christmas spirit, humour, amnesia followed by a very happy ending. Exactly what I needed tonight 🎄💜 0

It pains me to give a Bruce Willis movie such a low rating. I mean, I love the guy and he can give an action movie that doesn’t really have a plot something that makes it enjoyable watching it nonetheless. But this was just too awful. No real plot? No problem, but what happens does have to have some logic to it. Not here. The acting was just horrible, especially Lala Kent (Eva). I convinced a friend to watch it with me and I just felt so guilty... 0

Wow!!! How could I not have known this movie existed??? I watched it thanks to a small movie club I joined...and...it is definitely one of the most fun movies I have seen in a long time! Great actors. Great script. I laughed (a LOT). I cried. And I was so sorry when it ended. Am definitely going to miss these great characters! 💜💜💜 (have I made it clear enough how much I loved this movie?) Just to be sure: I loved this movie! 0
Artemis Fowl Seven oN ★ 3
I sooo wanted to like this movie since I loved the book series. I mean, I could even live with a plot and characters derived from the books while the movie being completely different. With the books too it took me some time to grow into and feel connected with the characters. In the movie however I didn’t really care for them right up to the end. The scenes were a mess, the acting was bad. I just lost interest and focus. 0
O Rei de Staten Island Seven oN ★ 8
Went into this movie not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised! The plot seems simple and the humor camouflages it, but it has more depth than I could have imagined. Excellent performances make you grow attached to the characters and actually start to feel for them. 0
Eu Ainda Acredito Seven oN ★ 5
A romantic drama with decent acting but the story just feels old; there just have been too many movies like these lately for it to have the impact it intends to have. I did like how it touched on the question/theme how one can “still believe” after witnessing so much suffering. 0
Impacto Mortífero Seven oN ★ 2
What in the world happened here? Even Willis seems to have lost all of his acting skills. Totally unbelievable scenes (you want to shoot someone but patiently waits until he finishes his phone call and turns around and sees you??). Truthfully even 1.5 stars is too much credit... 0
As Crónicas de Nárnia: O Leão, a Feiticeira e o Guarda-Roupa Seven oN ★ 8
A fun children’s movie with a wonderful concept: a wardrobe that leads you to another world. Maybe a bit too long, but on the other hand, I don’t feel like it could’ve been shorter. The acting by the kids isn’t really great, Georgie Henley is constantly switching between crying and laughing, but neither feel reel for example. Tilda Swinton and James McAvoy save the day however. People say the movie feels rushed. I have experienced this myself watching a movie after having read the book ok, but as I haven’t read the Narnia books it certainly didn’t feel rushed to me. All in all, when watched critically it may not deserve the full 4 stars and nostalgia may have played a rol, but I definitely enjoyed it! 0
