The series was created by Jill Girling and Lori Mather-Welch, in a Franco-German co-production between Cottonwood Media and ZDF Enterprises, in collaboration with the Paris National Opera.

Filming took place in Paris and Brussels, although the story takes place entirely in Paris. Filming of the first season occurred between July and December 2017, and the second season between July and December 2018.

In episode 20 of the first season it is possible to catch a glimpse, very fleetingly, of a Belgian flag on a wall, a comic in Dutch (Suske en Wiske) and an inscription in English, in a children's center supposed to be in Paris — remnants of the filming in Brussels.

Part of the scenes was shot in real locations of the Paris Opera, such as the Palais Garnier and the Paris National Opera itself, which collaborated in the production of the series.

The character Jeff, in love first with Max and then with Isaac, is the second openly gay protagonist on Disney Channel, after Cyrus Goodman in Andi Mack.

From 2019 onwards, Find Me in Paris became available in more than 130 countries, being broadcast on channels such as Nickelodeon (United Kingdom), Hulu (United States), Disney Channel/Disney Plus (Latin America) and RTP2/SIC K (Portugal).

The official soundtracks of the three seasons were released separately on digital platforms such as Spotify, Google Play and Apple Music: the 1st season in July 2019, the 2nd in January 2020 and the 3rd in August 2020.
